About SYNR
Who we are and why we built this
SYNR is an independent project built by a small team of designers, engineers, and writers who think the existing landscape of online personality quizzes treats adult identity carelessly. The most popular tests are either decades old, hostile to mobile, riddled with ads, or quietly harvesting data for unrelated purposes. We wanted something cleaner.
What we believe
Privacy is the product. A self-reflection tool that monetizes your answers cannot be honest with you. SYNR collects only what is required to deliver your result: twelve responses, your computed scores, an email address, and an approximate IP-derived city used for regional rollout sequencing. Nothing else, ever.
Brevity beats bloat. Most personality tests pad their length to feel scientific. SYNR is twelve questions because twelve is enough. Each item was rewritten dozens of times until it could discriminate between adjacent profiles without redundancy.
Tone matters. Adult identity deserves the same design respect as a banking app. No clip art, no pop quizzes, no clickbait headlines. The interface is the message: this is for grown people thinking carefully.
How the framework was designed
The five-axis model — Sovereignty, Adaptability, Intensity, Alignment, Relinquishment — was synthesized from existing trait literature on dominance, openness, sensation seeking, meaning-making, and trust-based surrender. It is not a clinical instrument and we do not claim peer-reviewed validity. It is a self-reflection scaffold designed to feel resonant rather than to diagnose. If you want a clinical assessment, see a licensed therapist who specializes in sexuality.

Who created SYNR?
SYNR was built by a small independent team of designers, engineers, and writers who wanted a modern, privacy-first alternative to outdated online personality quizzes. We are not affiliated with any academic institution or dating platform.
Is SYNR a dating app?
No. SYNR is a self-reflection tool, not a dating or matchmaking service. It produces a five-axis personality profile to help you understand your intimate identity. It does not connect you with other users or share your results with anyone.
How is SYNR different from other BDSM tests?
Most existing BDSM tests are decades old, bloated with questions, ad-heavy, and quietly harvest your data. SYNR is 12 questions, mobile-first, encrypted, ad-free, and designed with the same care as a banking app. Your answers stay private.
